01 Agreement & Service Engagement
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer”, “Consignor”, or “you”) and OM Relocation (“Company”, “we”, or “us”). By booking our residential, commercial, vehicle transportation, warehousing, or packing services, you explicitly accept and agree to abide by these terms.
02 Quotations, Inventory & Pricing
All formal price estimates issued by OM Relocation are based on the initial physical or virtual inventory assessment provided by the customer.
- Inventory Accuracy: If additional furniture, heavy cartons, or unlisted appliances are added on the moving day, charges will be revised proportionally according to packing material and vehicle volume required.
- Access Conditions: Quotations assume standard ground or elevator accessibility. High-floor manual stairs carrying (above 2nd floor without elevator) or long-distance rope pull handling may incur minor standard labor surcharges.
- Taxes & Tolls: Official written quotations clearly specify state tax, GST rates, and inter-state highway toll charges.
03 Customer Obligations & Prohibited Items
For safety and regulatory compliance across Indian highways, the customer strictly agrees not to pack or hand over hazardous, explosive, inflammable, or restricted contraband goods.
Cash, original property deeds, gold/diamond jewelry, flammable liquids, gas cylinders (unless completely emptied and certified), firearms, ammunition, crackers, acids, perishable food items, and illegal substances. The customer must personally carry jewelry, currency, and critical identity documents.
04 Payment Terms & Modes
Unless mutually agreed otherwise in written corporate agreements, our standard consumer payment structure is as follows:
- Booking Token: A nominal advance token (10% to 20%) is payable to reserve dedicated crew, packing materials, and container slots.
- Dispatch Balance: The remaining transit balance is payable upon successful packaging, loading, and issuance of the official Lorry Receipt (LR / Consignment Note) prior to vehicle dispatch or before final delivery doorstep unloading.
- Accepted Payment Modes: UPI, IMPS, NEFT/RTGS, Company Cheques (subject to realization), and verified digital gateways.
05 Transit Insurance & Claims Protocol
While our certified crew utilizes heavy-duty multi-layer bubble wrap, edge guards, and waterproof corrugated sheets, transit risk insurance is highly recommended for long-distance interstate moving.
- Declared Value: Insurance premium is calculated based on the total replacement value of goods declared by the customer prior to move execution.
- Claims Reporting Period: In the rare event of transit damage or missing carton, the customer must endorse the physical delivery receipt and notify our customer care team in writing within 48 hours of doorstep delivery with photographic evidence.
- Settlement Process: Approved claims are assessed and disbursed directly through the authorized insurance underwriter as per policy conditions.
06 Delivery Schedule & Force Majeure
Estimated delivery timelines are provided in good faith based on standard highway travel distances and state checkpost clearance times. OM Relocation shall not be held liable for unavoidable transit delays caused by:
- Extreme weather conditions (floods, cyclones, heavy fog, landslides).
- Regional highway blockades, civil disturbances, strikes, or statutory government route diversions.
- Mechanical breakdown of container trucks where replacement transport is dispatched promptly.
07 Cancellation & Rescheduling
Customers may reschedule or cancel their moving date by notifying us in advance:
- Notice 48+ Hours Prior: Full booking advance refund or free date rescheduling to any available calendar slot.
- Notice Within 24 Hours: A nominal cancellation fee may apply to cover crew dispatch and packing material allocation logistics.
08 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
All contracts, agreements, and consignment movements executed by OM Relocation are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to our relocation services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in West Bengal, India.
